What will be the rate of contribution for administrative charges and insurance?
There is no change in the EPF administrative charges (0.5% of EPF wages subject to minimum prescribed) and EDLI contributions (0.5% of wages) both payable by employers.
The reduced rate is applicable to exempted establishments also.
 
The reduction in statutory rate of contribution from 12% to 10% for wage months May 2020, June 2020 and July 2020 has been notified vide SO 1513(E) dated 18.0.2020 published in Gazette of India. The notification is available under the TAB-COVID-19 on the homepage of EPFO website.

Mr. Lohit Bhatia

President, Indian Staffing Federation

Lohit has over 23 years of corporate experience post his education, at The Army Public School, New Delhi. He specialized in Computer science at school and followed on to graduate with Economics Honors from Delhi University. After graduating from DU, Lohit completed his MBA from The Apeejay School of Marketing in 2007. Post his education he has worked over 10+ years in the manufacturing industry ( Textiles and Auto Components). Here he was instrumental in establishing and leading one of India’s largest Auto component export unit at the Noida Special Economic Zone. Moving on after the 11 years of manufacturing experience, he has worked in the Service Sector for the last 13 years. Starting with the Search and Recruitment Industry, he was later appointed by Quess Corp Ltd, ( erstwhile Ikya Human Capital Solutions Pvt ltd in 2010 ) , as GM ( North & East – Staffing Solutions ). During the past 10 years he has grown the Staffing business over 20x in HC and revenue terms from a base of nearly 12500 back then to over 250K currently. Today, Lohit is President ( workforce management ) and heads Staffing in India and APAC region, servicing over 1500 clients, with 270K+ associates. During this period of 10 years Ikya went on to become Quess Corp Ltd , raised funds from long term investor Fairfax financial Canada and went on to become one off India’s largest IPO in 2016 Today Quess Corp Ltd is India’s Largest Private Sector employer with 385,000 employees. Lohit has been part of all key leadership decision making as well as coordination with various Corporate bodies representing the company with CII , FICCI , Niti Aayog , and various ministries in his capacity as both representing of largest Private sector employer and based at Gurgaon , Delhi NCR.
